Homemade Hand Scrub that’s Cheap as it is Chic

A homemade hand scrub is not only easy to make, but it also makes a great hostess or teacher gift. Crafted for a small glass Ball jar, the end product is a pretty accent for a guest bathroom or kitchen sink station.

Gift it as a set in a pretty basket with other hand essentials like your favorite hand cream and soap, or whip up a large jar and present it on its own.

To make your homemade hand scrub, fill your container 2/3 cup full with granulated sugar, then add the dish soap to fill the last 1/3 of the container. I prefer to use Palmolive Soft Touch Dish Soap in Coconut Butter (however, I am not sure they still make it). Mix thoroughly and you’re ready to enjoy!

I also add 1 tablespoon of regular olive oil and 1 tablespoon of Sugar in the Raw, for an added moisturizing and scrubbing effect. You can also add essential oils in your favorite scent if you prefer.

Tying a simple grosgrain ribbon around the lid offers a chic touch.

Happy scrubbing!
